Slide Warning As a founder, you have more options for capital partners than ever before. But the truth is, mostVC firms are mediocre. The problem with accepting mediocrity onto your cap table is that it eventually becomes a part of who you are. Founders dedicated to building world-changingcompanies should pick their business partners judiciously. You want a partner who is there to help you bend the arc of your business towards greatness. What was the point of bringing on investors if in the end they have nothing to offer you but capital and pep talks from the Hamptons? Our approach from day one was to become and remain elite by offering world class company-building expertise. We partner with founders and help them navigate key inflection points in building and scaling their business. We are not cheerleaders, but your partners. We have built a fund centered around excellence. Do our values resonate with you? [ Manifesto ]

Slide 1. Go For Broke. “To risk everything in the hope of having great success” The founders we back embody this mentality. We care deeply about partnering with
founders who will stop at nothing to fulfill their ambitious missions. Many will be immigrants. Many will be outsiders. Many will have persevered through extreme adversity. Many will beoverachievers who were mistaken for troublemakers in their past. All of them will exhibit anobsessive intensity to solve a pain point. All of them will be willing to sacrifice everything toachieve the impossible. All of them will be willing to go the distance and go for broke.
[ Go For Broke]

Slide 2. Only outliers matter. We are maniacally focused on investing in non-consensus opportunities we have extreme
conviction in. We do not require the rest of Sand Hill Road to be interested in you in order to
pay attention. Many of our best partnerships occurred at moments when a company or market
was not viewed positively by the herd. We love meeting founders who are willing to swim
against the current and make what they believe a reality.
[ Only Outliers Matter]

Slide 3. Concentration over diversification Most firms allocate no more than 5% of their fund into their “best” companies. We can invest up to 20% of our funds into our core positions and support you as you scale. With most of
our fund being invested into a handful of companies, it makes it easy for us to concentrate our time and attention.
[ Concentration Over Diversification ]

Slide 4. Return oriented Venture is an objective business. The higher your returns the better (and luckier) you are
as an investor. That is an eternal truth. You wouldn’t put your kids in a daycare with a
yelp-rating of 1.5 so why would you allow mediocrity onto your cap table? You want to partner
with firms that know what excellent looks like. For Original this is a two-way street where we
want to make sure you are the type of founder orientated towards building an enduring
company.
[ Return Orientated ]

Slide 5. It pays to be different If you want to build a generational company, you have to do something that no one has
done before. We look for founders who are original thinkers and have a unique perspective on a
pain point they care deeply about. There is something magical about a human being unfettered
by the constraints of what came before. It is here where we encounter peculiar ideas with the
greatest propensity to change the world.
[ It Pays To Be Different ]

Slide If what we have outlined resonates with you then we’d love to meet you… and see if there is a
way for us to partner and build a world changing company together.
